Police searching for a missing man say a body has been found in a park in Lancaster.
Police had appealed for help to find Henry Shields, who had been missing since May 10.
Lancashire Police have released a statement saying a body had been found in Williamson Park.
‘’We asked for your help yesterday to find missing Henry Shields and we're afraid we have a very sad update to bring you,’’ said a spokesperson.
‘’At just before 10:30am today we were called to report that a man had been found deceased in Williamson Park.
‘’While no formal identification has been made, we believe it to be the body of 23-year-old Henry. His family are aware and they are being supported. Our thoughts are with them at this time.
‘’Henry’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
‘’While this is obviously not the outcome anybody wanted, we would like to thank everyone who helped with our appeal for information.’’
