The classic Gothic horror 'Frankenstein' will be the latest production by the Lancaster Footlights and it promises to be one of their most intense shows yet.
Their adaptation of the Mary Shelley novel comes to the Lancaster Grand from October 9 to 17, directed by Kris Williams, and is described as "a theatrical experience that is as visually striking as it is emotionally powerful".
When Frankenstein meets his creation for the first time, he is consumed by horror and disgust.
Abandoning the Creature, he leaves him to navigate a world filled with prejudice and hostility.
The Creature’s child-like innocence cannot withstand the rejection he faces, and his innate goodness gives way to a dark and vengeful malevolence.
Determined to make his creator pay, the Creature sets out on a terrifying journey of revenge, seeking a single hope: a deal with Frankenstein that could mean his salvation.
Ian Brown, who plays Victor Frankenstein, Maire Robinson, who plays Elizabeth, and Terry Rawlinson, who plays The Creature, spoke to Beyond Radio about the show.
