A Lancaster-based estate agents has acquired two local property businesses.
In early summer, JDG acquired Castle Properties, a highly regarded bespoke lettings agency, which is now being brought into the JDG brand. This was followed in September 2026 by the acquisition of Mighty House Sales and Lettings, an established High Street agency that has traded for approximately 10 years. Its business is also being brought into the JDG brand.
The acquisitions strengthen JDG’s support for local buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants. Its expanded lettings team now has over 450 managed properties across the district, with team numbers growing to support the business.
John Gallagher said: “Both businesses have built strong local relationships, and we’re delighted to welcome their clients and colleagues to JDG. As we grow, our priority remains the personal service, client care and local knowledge people expect when they trust us with a move or a property.
“We’ve been part of this community for more than 35 years. These acquisitions allow us to support even more people across Lancaster and Morecambe, backed by an experienced and growing team.
“I am looking to continue the expansion over the coming months and years.”
