A chain of 800 bras will stretch for a third of a mile along Morecambe Promenade to shine a light on breast cancer.
The Big Bra Chain on Saturday October 24 is being organised by Vicki Edwards from Heysham, and has gained huge support over the past few weeks.
Vicki, owner of Mossgate Day Nursery in Heysham, was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago, aged 54, after a routine mammogram.
Her Big Bra Chain, and recent Bra on a Bar campaign, aims to raise funds for CancerCare and spread the message for women to have regular checks - and that men can get breast cancer too, as seen in a current storyline on TV soap Coronation Street.
"I had no lump, no symptoms and no idea cancer was there," said Vicki.
"Thankfully, it was found early.
"I’m now two years in remission, and my experience has completely changed my outlook. I’m passionate about making sure people know their normal, check their breasts and attend their routine mammograms."

Vicki said she is supporting the Lancaster cancer support charity CancerCare because they "sent me on a wellbeing course, connected me with Alexander Technique therapy, and gave me opportunities to rebuild my confidence and wellbeing after treatment".
"And that support is still part of my life today.
"On a Monday, I join an online yoga session through Zoom, alongside other people affected by cancer and living with their own diagnoses. It’s more than yoga.
"It's connection, understanding and knowing you’re not alone.
"That’s why I’m putting everything I can into October’s Big Bra Chain and Bra on the Bar campaign to raise awareness and support CancerCare."
The Big Bra Chain will run from 2pm to 4pm.
Bras will be linked along the Promenade railings in one huge chain, starting near the Eric Morecambe Statue and stretching towards Buzz Bingo.
Expect community spirit, plenty of pink, and an important message that could help save lives.
Then there will be an after party at The Bull Hotel in Fisherman's Square until 8pm.
Vicki will be joined on the day by her Macmillan nurse, Michelle Hindle, and Hayley Pritchard from CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria, who will have information on hand.

More than 50 local businesses and organisations are now involved in the campaign which began with Bra on the Bar across 13 Morecambe venues from October 5 to 11.
