Morecambe mum celebrates podium success at Ms Great Britain Classic

Vicki Dodd came third in Ms Great Britain Classic 2026

A mum from Morecambe has achieved a top three finish at the first time of asking in the Ms Great Britain Classic beauty contest for women aged 45 and over.

Vicki Dodd achieved second runner up position in the final held at the Athena in Leicester on Friday, won by landlady Ally Sussex.

She also won the awards for Best in Interview and Highest Charity Fundraiser, and reached the final of the Top 20 Beach Body contest.

Vicki, who has lived in and around the Morecambe and South Lakes area since she was 17, said she was inspired to enter after hearing about the competition on TV while struggling with her health and following the death of her father.

She said entering the contest has led to "a braver, confident, empowered and excited version of myself" and that head judge Sally Ann Fawcett told her how well she'd done, and that she should enter again next year.
