Police have issued a warning about cold callers targeting elderly residents in Carnforth.
They’ve received reports of a vehicle, believed to be a Toyota Hilux and on Irish number plates, with four men inside, around the Warton area.
They are knocking on doors claiming to operate a driveway and path steam cleaning business in the area.
The males are quite persistent and have targeted elderly residents.
PCSO Karen Hodgson said: ‘’Please do not agree to any work from cold callers turning up on your doorstep. The work is not guaranteed.
‘’Choose a trusted recommended trades person and never feel pressured into accepting, no matter how good the deal sounds.
‘’Stay safe and report anything suspicious.’’
Incidents can be reported on 101, or on 999 if it’s an emergency.
