Defender Luca Davis has joined Morecambe on loan from Premier League side Everton.
The 20-year-old arrives at the Halo Aerospace Stadium in a deal until January, and will provide cover at the back for the Shrimps in the absence of club captain Will Smith, who is out for a number of months following knee surgery.
Meanwhile, Liam Hogan went off at half time in last weekend’s defeat at Worksop with a back issue.
The central defender can also play at right-back and has represented Everton at both Under-18 and Under-21 level.
After progressing through the academy ranks, Davis signed his first professional contract with Everton in July 2025, having established himself within the Club's youth setup.
The Manchester-born defender featured regularly in the Under-18 Premier League during the 2024/25 campaign before making the step up to Everton's Under-21 side, where he has continued his development in Premier League 2.
Luca Davis said: “I’m over the moon to join such a massive club. I was attracted by Morecambe’s style of play and the size of the Club."
"I’m excited to make a difference on the pitch and help get the Shrimps back to where they belong.”
