Every kick, every game, every goal - Shrimps Live returns!

Beyond Radio is once again partnering with Morecambe Football Club for full match commentary of every game in the National League North season.

Morecambe fans will be able to listen to uninterrupted radio commentary of every single game, home and away, which will be broadcast across all of Beyond Radio’s platforms, including on 103.5 and 107.5FM across Lancaster and Morecambe Bay, and worldwide online on the Beyond Radio mobile app, at the website beyond.radio, and via smart speakers by simply asking it to ‘play Beyond Radio’.

Commentary links will also be available via all official Morecambe Football Club online channels.

Hosting Shrimps Live once again is experienced broadcaster, Dave Salmon. Dave has almost 30 years experience in the media industry, and is no stranger to the Halo Aerospace Stadium, having been the station’s lead commentator for Morecambe FC since 2021, covering almost 300 games to date.

Speaking ahead of the new season, Dave said: ‘’I am tremendously excited and honoured to be invited back for a sixth season of commentary.

‘’At Beyond Radio, this week we celebrated our 10^th anniversary, and the station has established itself as an integral part of the local community over the last decade.

‘’This is reflected in the station’s ongoing significant investment in the coverage, which has gone from strength to strength.

‘’These are exciting times for Morecambe Football Club under their new management team, and I can’t wait to see how the season develops in the coming weeks and months.

‘’We always try and make the coverage as interactive as possible for supporters, both on air and online, to deliver a service that both the club and supporters can be proud of.’' 

The 2026/27 commentary line up will also include regular contributions from former Vice Chair of the Shrimps Trust, Ben Cassar, while long time Shrimps’ reporter, Derek Quinn, will also be part of the team, along with a number of special guest appearances.

As part of our coverage, the companion podcast , ‘The Shrimps Verdict’, will return with weekly episodes featuring extended match highlights, interviews, special guest and much more. 

The ‘return’ episode is available now if you search on your streaming platform of choice, and features an interview with Adam Lakeland, and an extended preview with a panel including Dave, Ben, Derek and James from the @MorecambeFCFeed Twitter/X account.
