Goalkeeper Andre Mendes has left Lancaster City to sign for Bury.
Mendes, 20, was Lancaster’s first-choice ‘keeper before suffering an injury in February.
He made 33 appearances during his time at The Giant Axe.
Mendes signed for the club last July following his release from Morecambe.
The Brazilian goalkeeper was signed by the Shrimps in 2019, after three years at Benfica in Portugal at youth level.
Mendes posted a goodbye message on Friday morning on X, thanking “all staff, players and fans for the fantastic time I had at Lancaster City”.
His new club Bury are currently third in the North West Counties Football League Premier Division, which is two levels below Lancaster’s division.
