Their league status has been unknown since the end of last season when they finished bottom of the North West Counties Premier Division, but the Atoms have now announced they will remain in that division.

The number of teams in the league, which will begin in early March, has increased from eight in 2022 to ten this year:

Heysham Atoms

Ulverston

Orrell St James

Hindley

Shevington

Blackbrook

Haresfinch

They will also play three friendlies before the season begins. They will host Thatto Heath and Chorley Panthers at Powderhouse Lane on February 4 and 11 respectively, before playing Keighley Albion in Bingley on February 25.
