Junior players wanted for North Lancashire football clubs

Football clubs have appealed for new players to increase the numbers in their junior teams.

Lancaster City Juniors are holding trials for their under 13s for the 2024/25 season.

The team is looking for three to four new players as they start to play 11-a-side football.

The players will be guided by a coach with a UEFA C licence and the trials are suitable for all abilities.  

Children in year six or year seven can try out for the team every Saturday during May and June from 10am until 11am at The Giant Axe playing fields. 

Carnforth Rangers’ under 10s, under 11s and under 13s boys’ teams (current year eights, year sixes and year fives) are also looking for new players for next season as they increase their squad size. 

Parents can contact the club through their social media pages for more information on how their children can get started.

Trimpell and Bare Rangers’ under 10s side (current year fives) are recruiting for new players with training sessions running every Thursday apart from May 9 from 6pm to 7pm until the end of May.

The sessions take place on Ryelands Park.

Highgrove’s under eights team (current year threes) are moving to a seven-a-side team rather than a five-a-side and are looking for more players.

Westgate Wanderers are inviting kids from four to seven years old to join their Saturday Club, which introduces them to the basic skills of football.

The sessions are held with a view to preparing them to join other teams when they are older. 

Sessions are held every Saturday morning at the Bay Leadership Academy AstroTurf from 10am. 

Sessions are £3 each but there is no commitment needed. 

Storeys of Lancaster are looking for a goalkeeper to join their under eights and under nines boys Colts team.
