Amateur football club in Lancaster on hunt for new players

A local amateur football team are looking for players ahead of the new season.

Caton United FC are holding their pre-season training starting tomorrow (June 16), at Caton Sports Field, LA2 9QS, and are inviting interested, talented players to join them, or to get in touch while they build our first team squad.

Players must be over 16 and able to commit to regular training and matches.

Any interested players can just turn up.

Caton United play in Division Two of the West Lancashire Football League.

The club also have a number of scheduled pre-season matches arranged, including fixtures with Kendal Town, Westgate Hawks, Milnthorpe and Slyne-With-Hest FC.

Caton United FC volunteer, Andy Entwistle, added: ‘’Like many grassroots clubs, volunteers are the beating heart of the club, so if you know of anyone with some free time, we'd be really grateful if they could take a look at the volunteering opportunities available on our website at catonsports.co.uk.’’
