A Morecambe family are celebrating after winning eight medals at the European International Martial Arts Games.
Carol Slack won gold in continuous sparring and bronze in Kumite and in-point sparring, while her sister Pam took silvers in Kumite and continuous sparring.
Carol's son Elliott Wilson won silvers in Kumite and continuous sparring, and bronze at in-point sparring.
In June, we told the story of how Carol made an incredible comeback from major health scares to qualify for Team GB in karate alongside her sister and 10-year-old son.
Carol took up karate to exercise after being rushed into hospital with a suspected heart attack, asking her sister Pamela to join her at classes for moral support.
Just months later, the former Morecambe High School pupils came home with the medal haul from the European Martial Arts Games in High Wycombe.
They have also qualified for the world championships in Dubai next year.
Carol, Pam and Elliot are pictured below in their Team GB gi.
