Morecambe FC reached the third round of the Carabao Cup after a 1-0 victory at Championship side Rotherham United.
Arthur Gnahoua's second-half strike was enough for victory and now the Shrimps go into tonight's draw hoping for a third round clash with one of the Premier League big boys.
Gnahoua's fabulous effort came in the 72nd minute after great work from Caleb Watts.
The Shrimps then hung on for a famous victory, their second over Championship opposition after they eliminated Stoke City on penalties in the previous round.
Manager Derek Adams said: “We are delighted, to come away to a Championship team and win, to limit them to very few opportunities on target with the strike force they had is very pleasing.
“The team spirit is excellent, everyone can see that we didn’t have the strongest bench in the world, we had to call up four Academy kids, as we have a bit of illness and injury in the squad.
“The side’s togetherness and understanding of the game has been very good, in and out of possession, the work rate throughout the team had to be perfect against a very good side.”
