Anthony O'Connor has today cancelled his contract with Morecambe FC via mutual consent, allowing him to join Harrogate Town on a permanent deal.
The central defender leaves the Mazuma Stadium having made 62 appearances for the Club, scoring five goals, including the memorable strike in the FA Cup at Tottenham Hotspur in January last season.
This season, the 30-year-old has made just six starts in League One, the last being away at Plymouth Argyle on December 17.
O’Connor is the third player in the January transfer window to leave the Mazuma Stadium, after midfielder Ousmane Fane and winger Dylan Connolly departed earlier in the month.
