Appeal for witnesses after arrests in Barrow

Officers investigating an incident in Barrow are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Cumbria Police were called to the Cloisters Avenue area at 4.15am on Tuesday November 28 to a report of people fighting in the street.

Officers attended and two men aged in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

A third man, also in his 20s, was taken from the scene by ambulance to hospital after suffering injuries to his face and head. He has since been released from hospital.

The arrested men were bailed in the early hours of this morning (29 Nov).

In addition to witnesses, officers investigating are also keen to hear from anyone who may have footage of the incident, the moment leading up to it or immediately following it.They are particularly keen for people in the Cloisters Avenue, Gleaston Avenue and Bardsea Road areas to check their dashcam and doorbell footage and contact police if they discover anything which could assist.
