A man suffered serious injuries after falling from a bridge onto the railway in a village in the South Lakes.
British Transport Police said they received a report a man had fallen onto the railway at Market Street, Flookburgh in the early hours of Saturday (March 16).
The man was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with serious injuries.
A woman was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and has been bailed as enquiries continue.
