Explore Lancaster's spooky past with Halloween tours of city

A series of Halloween tours of Lancaster has been announced

With the spooky season fast approaching, why not join in one of a series of guided walks looking at the sinister side of Lancaster’s past?

The walks are devised and led by local Blue Badge Guide Gregory Wright, who was recently shortlisted as an ‘Ambassador’ for the district in this year’s Love Lancaster BID Business Awards.

Four afternoon Witchcraft 1612 walks will examining the sombre story of the Pendle Witches, looking at how a number of poor folk, living in the shadow of Pendle Hill in East Lancashire end up incarcerated at Lancaster Castle and at the centre of one of England's most high profile witch trials.

In the evenings, as the nights close in, four Hauntings, Hangings & Horrid Happenings tours will focus on the many other ghostly, ghastly, gloomy & grim bits of the city’s history!

Lancaster Walks, Talks & Tours are a small company providing award-winning guided walks, illustrated talks and themed tours, exploring the rich history of the North West of England.

These walks will run from Saturday October 26 to Saturday November 2.

Please check the Lancaster Walks Talks & Tours Eventbrite page for further details and tickets.
