Lancaster University brings its popular Campus in the City festival back to Morecambe this Easter.
The event offers a full day of free, hands‑on activities for families, on Friday 10 April, from 10.30am to 4pm at More Music on Devonshire Road.
Families can explore 16 different activities, all designed and delivered by Lancaster University researchers. Meet the people behind the work and dive into hands‑on activities, games, experiments, colouring, virtual‑reality adventures, crafts and much more.
Children and adults can try everything from meeting a humanoid robot to taking part in health‑themed activities at the Teddy Bear Hospital, experiencing the Northern Lights through virtual reality or exploring Wordsworth’s Lake District in Minecraft.
Campus in the City has become one of Lancaster University’s most popular community events, offering families the chance to get hands‑on with real research in a relaxed, friendly setting.
It’s part of a commitment to being an active civic university, bringing its work into the heart of the community and making research accessible, enjoyable and relevant for everyone.
All activities are free and suitable for a wide range of ages, with a few best suited to children aged seven and over. No need to book, just drop in at any time and stay as long as you like.
