Current I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here star Ruby Wax is bringing her new tour show to Lancaster in 2026.

The comedy legend – who is currently in the Australian jungle on the hit ITV show, will appear at Ashton Hall at Lancaster Town Hall on Tuesday, April 7, in her new show, ‘Absolutely Famous’.

The show is presented by The Dukes, Lancaster and Impatient Productions.

A spokesperson for The Dukes said: ‘’It's almost easier to say whom Ruby Wax didn’t meet, interview and coax fascinating insights from in her huge TV shows 'Ruby Wax Meets' and 'Full Wax', including Donald Trump, OJ Simpson, Pamala Anderson, Madonna and many more.

‘’Her provocative, abrasive, incomparable style was - just about - kept in check by lifelong friend and A-list producer, Clive Tulloh.

‘’Together live on stage they review clips from the extraordinary shows, tell scandalous stories never before heard - and take the audience along for the ride.’’

From the Royal Shakespeare Company, to prime time TV, and script editing on the beloved Absolutely Fabulous, the award-winning comedian, actress and mental health advocate has cemented herself as one of the greats on both stage and screen.

She also has a masters degree in mindfulness based cognitive therapy from the University of Oxford and in 2015 was awarded an OBE for her services to mental health.

She is a Visiting Professor in the School of Mental Health Nursing at the University of Surrey as well as holding an Honorary Doctorate from the School of Psychology from The University of East London and University of Staffordshire.

She has also been awarded a City Lit Lifetime Fellowship, ambassador for the British Neuroscience Association, MIND, SANE and the president of Relate and Chancellor of Southampton.

In the field of mental health, Ruby's brought support for mental health to a whole new audience discussing complex neurological theory in an accessible and often hilarious way but always with a serious point that we need to reframe the conversation and remove the stigma that mental health illness still carries.
