Amateur photographers of all ages are being invited to share their favourite shots of Heysham in a competition to celebrate Lancashire Day.
Friends of Heysham Library have collaborated with Morecambe Camera Club, which meets at the library, to organise the event.
Submissions are now open and run until November 1, with an exhibition at the library on November 26.
All exhibitors will receive a print of their photograph with additional prizes including a year’s free membership of Morecambe Camera Club.
“Heysham is such a beautiful place and even though we see it every day, it doesn’t lessen our appreciation of living here," said Maureen Nash, chair of Friends of Heysham Library.
“We’d like to invite entries from anyone who has an eye for a good shot that captures the spirit of Heysham in some way. It could be a traditional landscape or something more quirky – we’re really looking forward to seeing what we get!
“The competition is timed to coincide with Lancashire Day, as we feel it reflects our pride in where we live.”
