
People can try new activities as Lancaster Library and the Judges’ Lodgings Museum are turned into 'Fun Palaces' this weekend.
The initiative is part of an annual programme of events to get people of all ages involved, using arts, crafts, science, technology and digital skills.
At Lancaster Library, there will be a diverse range of fun, science, art and cultural activities to participate in, all free of charge, between 10am and 4pm on Saturday (October 4).
Activities include learn to play chess, recycling crafts, designing plates, crystal growing and 3D maths with Lancaster University, a giant game and more with Lancaster and Morecambe Makers,1684 Map of Lancaster Project, Lancashire Adult Learning, interactive art, storytelling with dice, creative writing, learn to juggle, zentangles and the Faboo News Puppets.
Meanwhile at Judges’ Lodgings, you can enjoy some family fun making, coding and programming Lego robots.
Lego kits will be available to inspire your child to learn creativity, programming, and coding.
Plus, there will be the chance to share the 'Joy of Reading' with craft activities and a treasure hunt, thanks to Lancashire Adult Learning.
The event is free but charges do apply if you wish to go around the rest of the museum.
These activities take place on Friday and Saturday (October 3/4) between 11am and 3:45pm.
