Lancaster theatre The Dukes has announced its spring and summer season for 2026 with theatre, comedy, drama and big names.
Shows will include imitating the dog's touring 'War of The Worlds' (February 18-21); HER Productions bringing 'Twelfth Night' (June 19-21), 'Private Lives' (February 24-28) and 'The Angry Brigade' (April 21-23); 'I, Daniel Blake' by Northern Stage (April 14-18) and 'A Long Day’s Journey Into The Night' (May 29-30) by Elysium Theatre, as well as 'And Then Come the Nightjars' from Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds (March 24-28) and 'Sherlock Holmes: The Hunt for Moriarty' by Blackeyed Theatre (March 10-14).
At The Dukes' Moor Space venue, La’al Marra Productions present 'Soaked' (April 25), a witty and sharp exploration of the impact excessive drinking has on relationships and self-worth.
Emmerson & Ward return to Moor Space with their latest work 'Rum' (May 15) and have partnered with Andy’s Man Club, a men’s suicide prevention charity to create a powerful new play that wrestles with masculinity, mental health and addiction.
Taskmaster contestants Phil Ellis (April 25) and Ania Magliano (May 8) will also take to the stage at The Dukes as well as comedy legend Ruby Wax performing at the Ashton Hall at Lancaster Town Hall (April 7).
Other names include Rob Auton (April 10) and Matt Parker (April 16).
Those seeking a comedy stage show should not miss 'Looking For Me Friend: The Music of Victoria Wood' by The Cabaret Geek (April 30).
Families can enjoy enchanting storytelling with beloved titles such as 'The Three Little Pigs' by Stuff & Nonsense Theatre (April 1-2), 'The Wind in The Willows' produced by Three Left Feet (June 6) and Julia Donaldson’s 'The Detective Dog' by Tiny & Tall Productions (May 2-3).
For tiny (and not so tiny) gamers WIFI Wars (May 23) is an award-winning show seeing players play as a team and against each other, perfect for anyone who enjoys quizzes and games!
