Local music events continue following passing of the Queen

A number of scheduled music and entertainment events over the weekend will continue.

All shows at Lancaster Grand remain on, including Paul Akister, supported by Amy-Jo this evening.

The Lancaster Jazz Festival continues as normal over the weekend, after last night’s performances were called off as a mark of respect.

Those who had tickets to last night’s performances will receive a refund directly from The Dukes box office in due course.

Organisers say they will work to reschedule these performances at a later date, and hope patrons will consider joining them for one of the many other shows over the festival.

The final ever Hawkfest also goes ahead, at Morecambe’s Winter Gardens and Johnny’s Warehouse.

The event features headliners Hawkwind and a host of other acts including The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Curved Air and Soft Machine. Full line up at www.hawkwind.com

And the Bare Music Festival also goes ahead mostly as planned.

The Dog and Partridge are postponing their involvement as a mark of respect, but the other three venues in the village are still taking part.
