A popular 90s boyband are heading to Morecambe as part of their 30th anniversary tour later this year.
911 are celebrating the release of their debut single back in 1996 with an ‘Up Close and Personal’ tour – which begins with a date at The Platform on Thursday, September 24.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, March 27.
The trio - Lee, Spike & Jimmy – were formed in 1995 and released their debut single in May 1996. They went on to score 10 UK top 10 singles including ‘Bodyshakin’, ‘The Journey’, ‘Party People…Friday Night’, and a cover of the Dr Hook classic ‘A Little Bit More’, which gave the group a UK number one in1999.
In total, they sold 10 million singles sales around the world, before their split in early 2000.
The trio reunited in 2005, when they participated in the ITV reality show Hit Me, Baby, One More Time, and have performed live shows occasionally since.
Officially unveiling their 30th Anniversary Tour, the band said: ‘’Get ready to dust off the curtains and practice those backflips.
"We started as three lads with a dream on breakfast TV, and 30 years later, we’re still selling out arenas and hitting the top of the charts.
‘’We can’t wait to bring that 911 energy back to the fans this year."
