An annual late-night charity walk for St John's Hospice is returning next month - and Beyond Radio will be there!
The Moonlight Walk will return to the Lancaster hospice on Slyne Road in Lancaster, on Saturday June 14.
The popular event is a 16km walk around Lancaster and Morecambe, starting and ending at the hospice, with the route also visiting Lancaster Castle again, as it did in 2024.
The Moonlight Walk is open to everyone aged 11 and above, and you don’t have to have had friends or family cared for by St John’s Hospice to join the event. Individual registration is £20 and the hospice anticipate that you will raise at least a further £50 in sponsorship.
Participants will receive a T-shirt that they can personalise in memory of someone important to them, as well as gain other opportunities to remember a loved one.
There will be stalls and activities at St John’s from 8pm, including a warm up before the walk sets off at 10pm.
This year, walkers will head up to Lancaster Castle, which will be lit up in St John’s Hospice green, before heading on to Morecambe prom, through to Bolton le Sands and back to St John’s.
Beyond Radio and Beyond Bear will be there on the night to provide announcements, fun and entertainment.
