Play in the Park: The Wizard of Oz

The award-winning outdoor summer show is back! Audiences can join Dorothy, who is desperately searching for runaway Toto when a storm sweeps her away from her home in Lancaster into a world full of surprises and wonder.

Lancaster City Council housing summer fun day

Family fun day with bouncy castles, mobile farm, ice cream, stalls from local organisations and music from Beyond Radio.

Friday August 15, 11am to 3pm, King George's Fields, Slyne Road, Lancaster

 

Morecambe Maritime Festival

A day of sea songs, traditional shanties, interactive workshops, and outdoor activities, with both local and national performers. Headliners include The Jack Tars, John Conolly and Ship to Shore.

The festival raises money for the Morecambe RNLI lifeboat crew. There’s also an ‘Anchors Aweigh’ launch night on the Friday (15th) at The Bath and a ticketed concert on Saturday evening at the Winter Gardens.

Bring Me Sunshine - Celebrating Morecambe Football Club

An evening of celebration and reflection of the Shrimps. Entertainment includes an appearance by cheerleaders The Shrimpettes, a live question and answer session with former players and staff of the club, and live music including local band The Limes, plus more to be announced. Hosts will be BBC Radio Lancashire's Derek Quinn, and Beyond Radio's Greg Lambert and Dave Salmon.
