Young people are getting set to host a festival celebrating the heritage of the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area.
Escape2Make's Heritage Festival will be held in Dalton Square and the E2M Centre on Church Street on Saturday August 29 from 11am to 4pm.
There will be interactive workshops, performances, music, food and drink and more, and it's free and ideal for all the family.
The festival will showcase the creative works which are being made by 11-18 year olds in Lancaster and Morecambe across the summer and themed all around local heritage.
Escape2Make, the Lancaster-based youth charity, partnered with Lancaster City Museums and the Lancaster Black History group to gather knowledge around local heritage relating to craft techniques and creative practices - and allow artists to pass that knowledge on to young people through a series of creative sessions.
Workshops have included Local Legends - where young people can transform into a local heritage figure, culminating in a performance at the Heritage Festival.
There are also workshops on Discovering Witches, Gargoyles, Lino Printing, Clay Carving, Interactive Filmmaking, Creating a Band, Natural Tie Dye and also creating a giant Shrimp Sculpture out of paper and old magazines!
