The Northern Selection & Soulful Strut

The Northern Soul/ Soulful Strut presented by Ian Cottam. Playing Northern Soul, Modern Soul, Crossover Soul, Philly, a little Motown and some Commercial Soul. 

Ian says, "I'll be playing you plenty of well known tracks, tracks that you may not have heard for a while and some tracks that you may not have heard before." 

Ian started DJ'ing in 1975 with Roy Ward as mobile DJ's. Ian went on to DJ at a local Soul/Jazz Funk night at the Scarthwaite Hotel and then to Brooks nightclub and the Walkabout where he played Soul based tracks, R&B, Hip Hop and Ibiza style dance tracks, Soulful House. Ian's main passion is in Soul music. Some favourite artists are Luther Vandross, Barbara Lewis, Ruby Andrews, Phyllis Hyman, Isley Brothers, The Brothers. 

So join Ian every Wednesday at 9pm for two hours of the best in soul and Northern.
