Si has been the bass player with the Smyths for 23 years and has played over 1000 times with them.
He is also the bass player, singer and songwriter with TV Pins who have played about 45 gigs and are playing in Bristol and London mid-October.
Sarah met the TV Pins at the merch desk at a gig where she was invited to perform between bands at Stourbridge Town Hall. Here they played their single 'Version of Love' for the first time. A song with a theme of acceptance and inclusivity.
Sarah wrote a response poem to this and shared it with the band when she hung out with them for a day at The International Pop Overthrow Festival in Liverpool. They day included two TV Pins sets one in The Cavern Pub and one in The Cavern Club, takeout food, beers on Mathew Street, a photo shoot and cocktails and lots of evidence of the acceptance of the Pins. Sarah feels like one of the Pins family now.
The band loved The Version of Love poem so much they asked Sarah to perform it at their London gig at The Waiting Room in Stoke Newington on 16th October.
