Top rock band Massive Wagons will be the headliners at this year's Lancaster Christmas Lights Switch On.
The Lancaster band will bring the noise to the Market Square stage to kickstart the city centre's festive season in style on Sunday November 29.
Massive Wagons are the Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area's most successful rock band with four UK Top 20 albums and a string of sell-out shows all over Europe.
Their most recent studio album 'Earth to Grace' was released in 2024 and reached number four in the UK Album Charts.
Their previous album 'Triggered' reached number six in the UK Album Charts in 2022.
'House of Noise' reached number nine in 2020 and prior to that, 'Full Nelson' made number 16 in 2018.
The band also recorded a live album at a gig at The Great Hall, Lancaster University, in September 2025.
Massive Wagons' members are lead singer Baz Mills, Adam Thistlethwaite, Stevie Holl, Adam Bouskill and Alex Thistlethwaite.
Tony Johnson, from organisers Lancaster BID, made the announcement of Massive Wagons exclusively on Beyond Breakfast on Thursday.

Beyond Radio will, for the sixth consecutive year, be your hosts on stage for this year's Christmas Lights Switch On.
Thousands are expected to descend on the city centre to see Market Square lit up and enjoy live music from local artists.
The event will begin, as is traditional, with the Santa Dash for CancerCare around the city centre from 1.30pm, followed by the Beyond Radio DJs on stage.

Live entertainment will begin at 3pm with The Performance Studios, followed by talented local singing sister duo Gabriella T and Jasmine T, and vocal group C&C Entertainments.
Local band Sold to the Sky will then take to the stage with a dynamic set, followed by Massive Wagons' headline performance.
The Christmas lights will then be switched on with a little help from the Beyond Radio team, Father Christmas and the family who raised the most money in the day's Santa Dash.
Beyond Radio will also broadcast live from Market Square with a special radio programme on the day, from 3pm.
