A couple who run a coffee shop and wine bar in Heysham have announced they have also taken over a craft ale pub in Morecambe.
Nicola and Michael Kirby, who run The Dispensary on Heysham Road, are now also at the helm at Embargo on Marine Road Central.
They announced the news with a post on their social media pages.
"We have an announcement! We are the new owners of Embargo Craft Bar. We have been looking for a second venue for a while and this fits us perfectly.
"Huge thanks to Gina and Richard for offering us the opportunity to continue the fabulous place you have created.
"You don’t get rid of us that easily though as we will still be ever present at The Dispensary!
"We have a fabulous manager taking the reins at Embargo and one or the other of us will be making frequent appearances.
"We really hope you continue to support us as we try and secure the future of these wonderful community spaces!
"More information will follow as to our launch date."
Nicola told Beyond Radio that Embargo is currently closed for redecoration and maintenance, and will reopen by the end of this week.
She said there were no plans to change it from a community craft ale bar, but they were planning a "refresh and rebranding" in the new year.
The Kirbys opened The Dispensary (below), in a former chemist and florist on Heysham Road, in 2023.
