A well-known local name in Italian restaurants is set to reopen in the city centre.
Paolo Giannis will open tonight (March 27) at 5pm at 46-48 Church Street, where it first opened in Lancaster 25 years ago.
Over the years the pizza and pasta restaurant has also been based in what is now The Cornerhouse on Church Street, and what is now the Bier & Twist in Market Square.
"We are all very excited to bring back the home of Italian to Lancaster," said Nathan, manager of Paolo Giannis, who said the restaurant is owned by the same company who have The Cornerhouse.
The premises at 46-48 Church Street was previously home to Los Banditos Latin American cocktail bar and restaurant, which opened in 2024 and closed recently.
The building has also been home to other restaurants in the past including Molly's and Verdes.
