A Lancaster accountancy firm has appointed a new director who first joined the business 10 years ago as a trainee.
Theo Gardner has been made a director at Waters and Atkinson, who have offices in Morecambe and Lancaster.
Established for more than 135 years, the 30-strong company provides general accountancy services and specialist tax advice to a wide range of clients in the North West and across the UK.
Joining the business as a trainee in 2016, Mr Gardner qualified as a chartered accountant before his promotion to director in February 2026.
“Waters and Atkinson has been providing first-class service and business knowledge to clients in Lancaster, Morecambe and further afield for well over a century, with a forward-thinking team that helps businesses and individuals achieve their goals and operate in the most tax-efficient way," said Mr Gardner.
“We pride ourselves on providing trustworthy, honest advice to clients and the team culture backs that up.
“Our recent expansion onto new offices in Lancaster, just off the M6 with extensive parking, underlines the company’s commitment to future growth, and I am excited, personally, to be part of that journey with our team and clients.”
