Lancaster BID has appointed a new Marketing and Events Coordinator.
Maggie Murray, who is from Lancaster, has joined the Lancaster Business Improvement District (BID) team after previously gaining experience as an Events Manager at a wedding and events venue.
A Lancaster BID spokesperson said: ""Maggie's heart is definitely in the city and she can’t wait to get stuck in.
"She loves the industry, the hustle and bustle of running and organising functions, and meeting new people.
"Maggie is determined to show as many people as possible the great qualities Lancaster possesses, and to put on some amazing events in the coming months."
One of Lancaster BID's next big events is the Lancaster Christmas Lights Switchon, to be hosted on the Market Square stage by Beyond Radio on Sunday November 26.
