The owner of a popular Lancaster fashion boutique joined a panel of experts as a guest speaker at the UK’s largest retail trade show.
The Spring Fair attracted more than 38,000 retail buyers and industry professionals and over 1,400 exhibitors from across the UK and beyond.
Tiffany Moore of RENES Fashion joined a panel of industry leaders to discuss ethics, leadership and the future of fashion. Spring Fair’s 2026 theme, Retail Alchemists, celebrates creativity, leadership and community within retail, bringing together established brands, independents and industry leaders to share insight and ideas.
Tiffany appeared alongside Caryn Franklin MBE, Annabel Thomas of ACS Clothing, and Helena Mansell-Stopher of Products of Change in the session “The New Fashion Economy: Ethics, Leadership & Change”.
The discussion chaired by Caryn Franklin MBE, renowned fashion commentator, broadcaster and co-founder of All Walks Beyond the Catwalk explored how leadership, ethics and changing consumer expectations are reshaping the fashion industry.
During the discussion, Tiffany shared insights from her experience leading a long established, independent boutique on Lancaster’s high street. She spoke about the importance of putting customers at the heart of every decision, creating and growing a community.
The value of independence and personal service and how longstanding high street businesses can remain resilient and relevant in a rapidly changing retail landscape. Tiffany also highlighted the role of ethics and sustainable practices in shaping the future of fashion.
Tiffany said: “It was an honour to sit on a panel with Caryn Franklin. An icon in her own right and chat candidly about things that can make a real difference for the world of fashion.”
“This invitation means a great deal. Being recognised by Drapers as Independent Icon of the Year was an honour, but to then be asked to contribute to a national conversation about the future of fashion shows that independent retailers still have an important voice.
‘’Everything we do at Renes starts with our customers and our team, and it is encouraging to see those values recognised on a wider stage”.
“It was inspiring to hear, through the audience participation, just how much innovation is coming from independent retailers right now. The ideas being shared showed creativity and adaptability.
‘’From fresh approaches to in-store experiences, independents are clearly leading with agility and heart. The discussion highlighted a sector that isn’t just keeping up with change, but actively shaping the future of retail in exciting, community-focused ways.”
