A Morecambe Bay will writing firm has reached the donation milestone of £10,000 to help support people who are dealing with cancer.
Morecambe Bay Wills & Estates, based in Lancaster, is run by Nicola Combe, who lost her husband Jim to cancer in 2018.
Nicola set up the business to help other people who are dealing with family tragedy and also wanted to thank local charity CancerCare for supporting herself and Jim through his illness.
The company donates five per cent of the cost of each Will or Power of Attorney to CancerCare.
Over the past three years, the company has raised £10,123, which has provided around 300 counselling sessions for local adults and children coping with cancer or bereavement.
"Supporting the work CancerCare do locally is at the heart of what we do, and I am proud of our team’s achievements," said Nicola.
"But we don’t stop there – our target for 2022 was £2,500, and we managed to raise £6,000. We are absolutely aiming to raise even more in 2023."
Alison Stainthorpe, chief executive of CancerCare, said: "I would like to personally thank the incredible team at Morecambe Bay Wills and Estates for their dedication over the past three years."
Morecambe Bay Wills & Estates also thanked their clients and supporters.
