A new co-working hub is set to open inside the former Visitor Information Centre in Lancaster.

Folk+Co is due to open in the Storey Centre in Meeting House Lane in the city centre, in November.

Co-working is where workers for different companies or self-employed people share an office space.

A post on the Folk & Co Facebook page said: "If you are looking for a new place to work in Lancaster, then why not join us inside The Storey Building, Meeting House Lane, LA1 1TH.

"You can book a desk for a hour or a week - it’s up to you.

"Get in touch now and we will be in touch with more information about your new place to work in Lancaster."

The team behind Folk & Co includes Richard Dyer, who is also known locally as part of the organising team for the Highest Point festival in Lancaster.

Lancaster Visitor Information Centre closed in September 2023, due to Lancaster City Council budget cuts.
