The apprenticeship team at Lancaster & Morecambe College has received a boost thanks to a partnership with a group championing local business.
Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce has sponsored jackets for the college's apprenticeship team and employer engagement team, to highlight a shared commitment to developing the next generation of workers.
While the two organisations already work closely together, this initiative marks the start of a new collaboration aimed at supporting local businesses to offer apprenticeships.
The chamber said that their sponsorship of the apprenticeship team jackets is to raise awareness of both the chamber and the college as the team represents them while visiting businesses across the region.
They said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing future talent, promoting apprenticeship opportunities, and strengthening connections between education and the local business community.
“We are delighted to partner with Lancaster & Morecambe College through this initiative," said Graham White, CEO of Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce.
"This is just the start of our collaboration with the apprenticeship and employer engagement teams.
"Together, we can support more businesses, create more apprenticeship places, and help local talent develop meaningful careers.
"Partnerships like this make a real difference to both employers and young people.”

Jayne Roper, apprenticeship manager at Lancaster & Morecambe College, added: “This partnership with the Chamber of Commerce is incredibly valuable for our apprenticeship team and the employers we work with.
"Having the chamber’s support helps raise awareness of apprenticeship opportunities while reinforcing the strong connection between the college and the local business community. We’re proud to be working together to support skills development across the region.”
