A new off licence could open in an empty unit on a main road between Morecambe and Lancaster.
Soran Ahamdi of International Mini Market Off Licence Ltd has applied for a premises licence at 411 Lancaster Road, near Torrisholme Square.
The empty unit has been used in the past for a decorating supplies store and a flooring and garden turf shop, but has been unoccupied for some time.
"The premises is a 1,650 sq ft retail unit with a dedicated customer car park," says the application.
"It is well-suited for an off-licence, with a clear internal layout for product display and customer service.
"All alcohol sales will be for off-site consumption only, and no area will be provided or used for on-site drinking.
"The premises is a standard retail unit operating as an off-licence only, with no provision for entertainment or services beyond the sale of general retail goods and alcohol for off-site consumption.
"The environment is family-friendly and staff are trained to operate under the Challenge 25 age verification policy to ensure the protection of children from harm."
Proposed times are 8am to midnight Monday to Saturday, and 9am to 11pm on Sundays.
A premises licence is required to sell alcohol or offer entertainment from a particular venue.
The notice of application is currently displayed in the window of the unit on Lancaster Road.
