One of Lancaster’s oldest fashion stores undergoes makeover

A popular Lancaster’s fashion store has reopened following a makeover.

After a closure during the May Day bank holiday weekend, Renes has reopened after being refurbished.

Renes first brought fashion to the Lancaster high street in 1955.

The business was established by Irene and Pamela Newby and has passed through family generations to the present day.

Cousins, Tiffany Moore and Amanda Parkinson have co-owned the shop on Common Garden Street for over 10 years.

Amanda says is now ready to take some time to enjoy semi-retirement with Tiffany taking the helm.

Tiffany said: “At Renes, customer service is at the forefront of everything. We embrace the personal touch and pride ourselves on our personal shopping experience.
