Young women are invited to a free two-day workshop in Morecambe focussed on making music.
Girls Can takes place at More Music on the weekend of Saturday March 8 and Sunday March 9 and is for girls, young women and non-binary people aged 12–19.
The workshop gives young women the chance to form bands, develop as artists, network, build skills in sound, lighting and studio engineering as well as developing confidence and music industry knowledge.

“Just having a supportive, safe, space to concentrate on creating music is so incredibly important," said a member of Dead Sheep, a band that met and formed at a Girls Can weekend and who now perform nationwide.
"These sessions are helping so many young musicians, and the staff and team there are very special and hold a place in our hearts."
A family member of a young woman who took part in a past session said: “My granddaughter joined a girl band through Girls Can and the help and support for all the young people was non-stop.
"The staff are no less than amazing and all the young people are always so happy.”
The weekend is completely free, and more information can be found HERE.
