Her new track and it's very much influenced by where she grew up.

'Small Town Party Girl' blends 80s pop influences in Prince and Blondie with today's leading names in Self Esteem and Haute & Freddy.

Lois also recently toured the UK, and will support Sophie Ellis-Bextor at Tileyard North in Wakefield this summer alongside Scouting For Girls and Deco.

“‘I wrote Small Town Party Girl about growing up in my hometown," said Lois, whose full name is Lois Kyle.

"There was very little going on, but if there’s one thing people from a small town know how to do, it’s throw a party.

"I remember being dragged along to the parties my parents were invited to as a kid at the working men's clubs back home.

"It was always the same beige buffet, the same 80s playlist and the same woman on the dancefloor.

"She was the last one standing every time. I was always mesmerised by her, and that she didn’t care what anyone thought, to her, there was no one else in the room. Just her and the dancefloor. I was hooked.”
