Lancaster live music venue launches Unsigned nights supported by Beyond Radio

Filthy Laugh will perform at the launch night for The Tap House Unsigned

A leading Lancaster live music venue has announced an exclusive partnership with Beyond Radio to support unsigned local music talent.

The Tap House Unsigned nights will be every Wednesday evening from February 5 at the Tap House on Gage Street in Lancaster.

HMV Lancaster are also supporting the initiative.

The Tap House Unsigned will showcase the best undiscovered local music in the district every Wednesday from 7.30pm.

With the opportunity of radio support, plus in store promotion, The Tap House Unsigned aims to be the place to be for emerging Unsigned Acts to perform.

“Lancaster and the wider district boasts an incredibly talented and diverse community of original musicians but lots of the time their songs can go unnoticed," said Bill Johnston from The Tap House.

"We’re investing heavily in Beyond Radio to give a live music platform every Wednesday evening across the year.

"The opportunity will also exist for local radio support and in store promotion with HMV.

"The public can really help by supporting these weekly Unsigned evenings and help shape the future of music, both locally and beyond.”

Duncan Moore, Beyond Radio’s managing director, said: “Beyond Radio are proud supporters of local music and the only radio station in the region that includes songs produced by local acts in our regular playlist.

"We like to give local musicians the same opportunities for radio play as chart topping national and international acts and there’s the chance for any local musician or band to be heard on Beyond Radio.

"Tap House Unsigned is a great local initiative and we are really excited to be working along side the venue and HMV to give local musicians further opportunities to get in front of the public and promote their music."

If you’re an Unsigned original artiste and would like to perform at a future Unsigned evening please contact The Tap House today.

On Thursday January 16, the Tap House is encouraging local bands to pop along from 6.30pm and sign up to play at future events.

Launch night will also feature music from Citrus Tax, Filthy Laugh and Hummus.
