The Lancaster Music Festival will make a return in 2026, organisers say.
The 2026 event will take place between October 8 – 11, with further details to follow about venues and artists.
Back in January it was announced that the Lancaster Music Festival had been put on hold and would not take place in 2025, as the organising team said that they felt the time was right to "put the brakes on for a bit".
Instead, a highly successful Love Lancaster Live was held last month, to ensure there was still live music in the city over the same period.
Love Lancaster Live was run by the BID (Business Improvement District) as a stand-in, to provide continuity so music fans wouldn't see too much difference the event and the regular festival, which traditionally attracts thousands into the city.

A spokesperson for the festival said: ‘’Big thanks to everyone for the positive vibes during the last year and to Love Lancaster BID and all involved in Love Lancaster Live for helping us take a break.
‘’We're refreshed, revitalised and ready to go.
‘’Details about artist applications are coming soon so keep your eye on our socials for further announcements.’’
The 2024, the Lancaster Music Festival was a huge success as a celebration of music and everything the city has to offer, pulling thousands of people into Lancaster venues for all kinds of exciting and sometimes surprising performances.
