Move over Liam and Noel - because other musical brothers are making the headlines at Morecambe Music Festival.
Three different Creevy brothers will perform at the event this weekend, one after the other in their three different bands.
The brothers, all from Merseyside, will all play at The Exchange in the West End on Saturday.
Kicking off at 2.30pm, Back To Nature – featuring Tom Creevy on lead guitar – will be on stage in the town for the first time.
Formed as school friends back in the mid-1980s, the lads have reformed in the last 12 months to perform a mix of classic covers penned by the likes of Squeeze, Teardrop Explodes and Echo and the Bunnymen.
At 5pm – and needing no introduction to the festival or to the local music scene more widely – the Reggie Mental Band will bring their popular ska/Two Tone act back to the Exchange for a tea-time special.
Elder brother Andy Creevy, who lives locally and is well-known to music fans in Morecambe, will be on lead vocals.
The Reggie Mental Band are a nine-piece group featuring many well-known musicians from the area who come together as friends to cover the classics of the era, from the likes of the Specials, the Selecter and Bob Marley.
Their Saturday 5pm slot has been a tradition at Morecambe Music Festival for many years.
At 7.30pm, The Vinyls will return to the Regent Road venue from their Wirral base.
They will feature the youngest brother, Alan Creevy, on drums.
The Vinyls have become a crowd favourite at the Exchange over the last 18 months with their energetic collection of indie rock and roll classics that make more than a nod to the mainstream Mod music of the Jam, the Kinks and the Who.
Morecambe Music Festival runs over four days from July 10 to 13 at 35 venues across the town.
