There’s an appeal for information after a dog was found abandoned near a canal in Lancaster.
The young dog was found tied up and hidden in a bush next to the canal near Lansil Sports and Social Club on Caton Road.
It’s unclear as to how long he had been there.
A spokesperson for Lancaster City Council said: ‘’The dog was extremely cold, very thin, and his microchip is not registered so we’ve been unable to trace an owner.
‘’We’re now appealing to the public for any information at all about where he may have come from or who may be responsible for leaving him in this condition.’’
Anybody with information can email dogwardens@lancaster.gov.uk or call 01524 582935.
