Fire crews attended the scene of a collision near Hornby where a car had flipped onto its roof.
Crews from Hornby and Bolton-le-Sands were called shortly after 8pm on Monday evening (October 5), to the road at Farleton area.
One vehicle had left the road, with both crews working together to make the vehicle and surrounding scene safe, while providing assistance to the driver at the incident.
A spokesperson for Hornby Fire Station said: ‘’As we head into the wetter and darker months, please take extra care on the roads.
‘’Wet roads can significantly increase stopping distances and reduce grip, particularly when combined with poor visibility and standing water.
‘’Reduce your speed in wet or poor conditions. make sure your lights are clean and working and leave extra space between you and the vehicle in front.
‘’Take care around standing water and avoid driving through deep floodwater, check your tyres regularly, including tread depth and pressures and never use your phone while driving.
‘’Take care, slow down and give yourself plenty of time to react. Stay safe on the roads this autumn and winter.’’
