Cat Smith confirmed as Labour candidate for Lancaster at next general election

Cat Smith has been confirmed as the Labour party candidate for Lancaster at the next general election.

She’s confirmed after being unanimously approved by the various voting sections of the party.

Cat has held the seat since May 2015, and holds a majority of 2,380.

On social media, she said she was ‘delighted to be fighting the seat’, which would currently be on May 2nd, 2024.

The area also currently covers Fleetwood, although a Boundary Commission review of Parliamentary constituencies is due to report by July, 2023.
