They were significant delays on the M6 northbound this lunchtime after an overturned vehicle blocked the carriageway near Lancaster.
The incident at lunchtime between junctions 33 and 34 resulted in a trailer overturning, with initially two lanes being blocked, and then the carriageway closed to allow emergency services to work at the scene, adding around an hour and twenty minutes to journey times.
National Highways said all lanes have since reopened (at 1:45pm) and residual congestion has begun to ease.
